The Government of Dominica has launched its Electronic Biometric Passport. The minister of Immigration justice Hon Raybrun Blackmoore launched the use of biometric or electronic passport, a first for the OECS.

It has the capability to issue regular and diplomatic passports, which has an electronic chip that stores all of the data required to identify the bearer. Data stored will also include fingerprints and facial recognition, this will help to reduce the chances of identity theft. It also improves the ability to travel with less hassle all over the world.
