A police record request is easier to manage when the details are settled before submission. For Dominica citizenship by investment (CBI) citizens abroad, the receiving institution’s instructions matter as much as the local application.
1. The wrong document name
An institution may call it a police record, Certificate of Character or Certificate of Good Character. Send us its written instructions so we can confirm the document it expects.
2. A mismatch in personal details
Compare the spelling of your name, date of birth and passport number across your application and supporting documents. If your name has changed, tell us and provide the relevant records for review.
3. Missing CBI information
Our CBI service typically asks for a Dominica passport, citizenship or naturalization details, photographs and a completed application. We will confirm the exact list for your case.
4. An apostille discovered too late
Ask the receiving authority whether the record needs an apostille, whether it accepts a scan and how recently the record must have been issued. Those decisions affect the sequence and delivery plan.
5. An unrealistic delivery deadline
Allow for document review, government processing and international courier time. Tell us your deadline early; we can give a current estimate after reviewing your requirements, but issuance is controlled by the relevant authority.
