First Dominica Passport or Renewal? How CBI Citizens Can Start the Right Request

A first passport application and a passport renewal begin from different circumstances. If you are a newly naturalized Dominica citizenship by investment (CBI) citizen who has never held a Dominica passport, explain that you need a first passport. If you already have one that is expiring or expired, ask about renewal.

For a first passport enquiry

Tell us when your citizenship was approved, whether you have your Certificate of Naturalization and where you currently live. Send a copy of the identification documents you have available for an initial review. We will confirm the current application steps, required originals, photographs, fees and any appointment or biometric requirement applicable to your case before you commit to the service.

For a renewal enquiry

Provide your existing Dominica passport details, expiry date and country of residence. Our renewal service page lists the usual documents, including the current passport, application, birth certificate, Certificate of Naturalization and photographs. If your passport has been lost or stolen, say so immediately: that situation may require a different process.

Why the distinction helps

Telling us whether the application is a first issue, renewal or replacement lets us give you the correct checklist and quote. It also avoids sending original documents before we have reviewed what is needed. Passport issuance and approval remain with the Government of Dominica.

For an existing passport, read our renewal service. For a first passport, contact us and write “First Dominica passport” in your enquiry.
